Lakeside Bookstore Café in Shenzhen LiZhi Park: Free Study Space With Scenic Views & Cozy Atmosphere

I have to admit, this bookstore and café has become one of my recent favorites , not just for the view, but also for the atmosphere.
I’ve seen so many people check in here, and it’s super easy to find ,📍 right beside the lake inside LiZhi Park（荔枝公园）.

Name of the bookstore: Li Hu Shu Yuan or Li Zhi Shu Yuan.

📕 Free Study Area

Window seats come with charging outlets, so no need to worry about battery life while studying or working. (But no charging option for individual seats)

🌊 Beautiful Lakeside View

The windows sit right next to the lake at LiZhi Park — you get a zero‑distance view of nature and skyscrappers while reading or studying.

🍰 Food & Drinks Available

There’s an in‑house café where you can order drinks and snacks anytime. You can also read books directly from the shelves 👍.

⛲️ Inside A Park

This bookstore is located inside the park and conveniently close to the restrooms. Thankfully, they’re very clean. If you ever feel tired after hours of work or studying, you can simply step outside, enjoy some fresh air, and come back feeling refreshed.

🏡 Environment

The indoor space is bright, spacious, and very comfortable. Besides the indoor seating, there are plenty of outdoor tables as well — though be aware there are quite a few mosquitoes 🦟 outside.

Meanwhile, the bookstore only turns on the air‑conditioning in the afternoon, so it can get a bit warm earlier in the day. I’m not sure if it’s the same during summer because we visited in winter.

This spot is perfect for a relaxing walk‑by visit, or for anyone looking for a quiet place to study.A great way to enjoy the literary atmosphere of Shenzhen.
