A Flavor‑Packed Hotpot Experience with Nine‑Grid Platters and Exceptional Service in Shenzhen

This was my first time seeing a hotpot restaurant offering such an incredibly rich variety of ingredients. We ordered the clear broth pot, which came with mushrooms, tomatoes, and cucumber. It looked so appetizing the moment it arrived. Although this restaurant is known for its traditional spicy hotpot, the clear broth turned out to be surprisingly delicious as well.

Japanese‑Style Omurice at MixC World Shenzhen: Comfort Food & DIY Ice Cream

Cheryl Kong | 2026-05-07

Looking to first meal back at work in Shenzhen after the holiday? Here is a Japanese‑style omurice 🍛 + DIY ice cream 🍦 The emotional value is absolutely full 💖. The name of the shop is OMU omurice.

📍 Located at the B1 sunken plaza of MixC World, right across from Little Elephant figure.
🥳 The shop isn’t big, but it’s clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly and always ready to help.

🍽️ Food Experience

I tried their single‑person set meal, which includes:

🏆 Mentaiko Pork Cutlet Rice

A generous portion with plenty of mentaiko mayo spread over the golden fried pork cutlet. Crispy seaweed strips underneath add extra texture. Every bite is fragrant and crunchy 👍 The rice is soft and well‑cooked. I have to admit, I felt so full in the end.

🏆 Miso Soup

The soup containes red and white radish plus several pieces of meat. It tasted light and refreshing.

🏆 Appetizer

There are several things to choose from, I chose white radish and kelp. They are very appetite‑boosting. But the seaweed is less than my expectation, a bit too dry and crunchy.

🏆 DIY Ice Cream

After your meal, you get ice cream with unlimited refills❗️ There’s a small topping station where you can add:

  • dried strawberries 🍓

  • chocolate bits

  • crushed peanuts 🥜

  • mini cones

  • chocolate sauce, blueberry sauce, strawberry sauce

Super fun and super satisfying 🥳

📚 Overall Reviews

This place is perfect for couples, friends, or coworkers looking for a casual meal together 👫 The food tastes great, the atmosphere is warm, and the DIY ice cream is a delightful bonus. Definitely a spot worth returning to 😋
