New Shopping Mall at Shenzhen Luohu Checkpoint: Beauty & Dining Spots Opposite Shangri‑La Hotel

Cheryl Kong | 2026-05-07

A new shopping mall is opened(although I only learn about this occasionally, because I went there to dine once) and we decided to check it out!

📍 Located right at Luohu Metro Station Exit E2, directly opposite the Shangri‑La Hotel.

💁 Although the mall is still in the process of bringing in more tenants, many shops are already open.
💆‍♀️ About two‑thirds of the stores are beauty‑related: hair washing, massage, skincare, and wellness services. The remaining one‑third are food and beverage shops.

The mall isn’t very large, but the bright lighting makes the entire space feel clean, airy, and comfortable.

🍽️ Dining Options

The top two floors focus mainly on food, with several great choices:

  • Laoxianmen Buffet, a popular spot that often has long queues

  • Runman Nanfeng Coconut Chicken Hotpot 🥥, known for its unique flavors

🛍️ Shops & Future Openings

Some stores are still under renovation, including Hotmaxx and others, so the mall will probably become livelier in the future. It’s also a convenient stop for visitors from Hong Kong.

📖 Overall Review

This place is really only suitable for locals or people passing by. If you’re visiting Shenzhen as a tourist, there’s no real need to come here. The mall doesn’t offer anything particularly special, nor does it have any standout attractions.

The outside of the mall is surrounded by construction barriers, which makes the overall appearance less appealing. On top of that, it was raining the day we visited, and I almost slipped on the floor right at the main entrance.
