After 20 years, I finally got to enjoy Dairy Queen ice cream again today!

DQ ice cream was once very famous in Shenzhen, back when there weren't many choices and brands from western countries were highly favoured by people.

Since I happened to have a free coupon today, I decided it was the perfect chance to try their ice cream again.

Dairy Queen

📍 Location: First floor of Dongmen Sun Plaza in Luohu, right across from Nayuki Tea.

🍨 I ordered their three‑scoop ice cream — Red Velvet flavor.
To be honest, the portion size is huge. Most ice creams from other brands are hollow in the middle, but DQ fills the entire cone all the way to the crispy shell. Inside there is a completely solid ice cream. 👍

The ice cream itself is rich, creamy, and smooth, and the ingredients taste high‑quality. It does melt a bit quickly though, so I had to take several big bites in a row.

💁 The staff member who served me was friendly and patient. The store was clean, tidy, and had plenty of ice cream cake 🍰 options on display.

📚Overall Reveiw

Not bad overall, the ice-cream is really good. But this store is clearly less crowded than the other brands nearby. If I didn’t already have memories of this brand, I probably wouldn’t have bought the ice cream. So I guess they really need to work on their promotion.
